STEM is Growing
STEM participation is at an all-time high—up from 277 students last year to 473 students this year across all program sites. We offer more clubs than ever before, with meaningful, hands-on learning that helps youth build real-world skills and confidence.
One exciting expansion: Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and 3D printing are now available at every Todos Juntos middle school, giving students the chance to design, create, and innovate using professional-grade technology.
At Todos Juntos, we’re opening doors to a brighter future by making STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education accessible and inclusive for students across rural Clackamas County. Our holistic approach bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, guiding students from elementary to high school with a continuum of STEAM experiences. Whether it’s hands-on engineering lessons or career-connected learning, we’re inspiring the innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders of tomorrow.
Our Initiatives
Pathways to STEAM Success
We’ve created a Computer Science Pathway model that supports students’ journey from elementary to high school. Through innovative pre-engineering instruction and career-connected opportunities, we help students see what’s possible in the world of STEAM.
STEAM Summer Camps
Our summer science camps are tailored to meet the needs of diverse populations, ensuring all students have the chance to explore their potential. These immersive experiences spark curiosity, boost confidence, and help students discover their passion for STEAM.
STEM Collaboratives
Our STEM Collaboratives bring together educators, community-based organizations, STEM/STEAM partners, and families to create culturally relevant, community-centered programs. By uniting stakeholders, we develop strategies that provide underserved students with access to meaningful STEAM education.
Empowering Future Innovators
Every initiative is guided by our commitment to inclusion and representation. By offering diverse, culturally relevant programs, we ensure students have the tools, knowledge, and inspiration to excel in STEAM fields, opening doors to careers they might have never imagined.
STEAM Updates: Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow
Family STEAM Nights
We’re bringing Family STEAM Night to all four of our communities this spring! These free, community-wide events are packed with creativity and connection, featuring:
Interactive stations like Binary Coding, NASA-inspired mission patch design, and our traveling planetarium
Free dinner for all attendees
Raffle prize giveaways to close out the night
3D Printing Takes Off
Students are embracing the exciting world of 3D printing through our Computer-Aided Design (CAD) clubs. With schools like Sandy and Canby leading the way, Molalla and Estacada have now joined the effort, bringing innovation to life.
Estacada’s new 3D printing club is already making waves, crafting creative solutions to real-world challenges. These hands-on experiences not only ignite creativity but also develop critical design and problem-solving skills.
Career-Connected Learning Experiences
We believe in showing students what’s possible. This year, our Career Connected Learning series brought professionals from across the globe—and across disciplines—into our classrooms and clubs:
🧑🚀 A virtual visit with Fred Haise, astronaut from Apollo 13
🐊 A live conversation with Terri Irwin from the Australia Zoo about wildlife conservation
✈️ Virtual Reality and Drone workshops led by regional colleges
🌲 Environmental stewardship lessons from state park rangers
These interactions give students direct access to professionals who inspire, inform, and show them what future pathways might look like.
Elementary STEM Adventures
Our elementary students are diving into the exciting world of Science and Technology through hands-on activities like designing solutions for clean water and painting with robots. By blending exploration with design thinking, we spark curiosity and celebrate the joy of discovery. These early STEM experiences lay the foundation for career-connected skills and inspire a lifelong love for innovation.
New This Year: Nutritional Science Club
Our Nutritional Science Club is a powerful new offering that blends health, science, and culture. In partnership with local professionals in nutrition and dental science, students are learning about:
The science behind food and healthy eating
Preventive care and wellness
Cooking nutritious meals
Sharing meals together in a community setting
These hands-on sessions help students make meaningful connections between science and everyday life—while planting seeds for future careers in health and wellness fields.
Be a Part of the Movement
We’re building more than programs—we’re creating a community of support and opportunity. Together, we can ensure every child has the tools to thrive in STEAM and beyond.
